My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Ikos Porto Petro***** in Palma, in the Balearic Islands, at the end of May. As soon as we arrived at Palma airport, a taxi took us to the hotel, giving us an enchanting drive through the beautiful Spanish countryside, bathed in sunshine and dotted with majestic pine trees.
The welcome at the hotel was warm and prompt, with a glass of sparkling Cava and smiling staff guiding us to our room. The room was spotless, and we were delighted with its balcony and small sea view. The welcome kit was a bottle of red wine from the estate waiting for us. The spacious bathroom, equipped with wall-mounted soap dispensers, combined comfort and ecology. Fans of soft mattresses will be delighted! The dressing room is large enough to accommodate all your suitcases.
The gastronomy was a real festival of the senses. Of the resort’s six restaurants, we particularly enjoyed the Restaurant Seasons for its delicious Mediterranean cuisine, and the Olivia for its regional specialities. Service is fast, and there are menus to suit all needs, including children. Highchairs for babies are available on request from the restaurant reception. The breakfast buffets are also child-friendly. Overall, the resort’s restaurants offer good value for money!
Afternoons by the pool, accompanied by sweet cocktails from the pool bar, were real moments of relaxation, a good way to let off steam before setting off.
The free kids’ club, supervised by four English- and Spanish-speaking activity leaders, offers a multitude of stimulating activities for children. For the little ones, a baby-club is available at reasonable rates, offering a safe and professional environment. The babysitting service is also a practical option for parents. There’s everything you need to enjoy an extraordinary experience, tailored to every age group.
Adults are not left out, with a spa offering a full menu of relaxing treatments, and a modern fitness club offering a variety of classes to keep fit.
The hotel’s beaches, although public, are spacious and equipped with comfortable sun loungers for hotel guests. However, there are no lifeguards on duty. So you’ll need to keep an eye on your children, but this is a great opportunity to get in the water with them and spend some family time together!
To sum up, our stay at the Ikos Porto Petro was an unforgettable experience. The many attentive staff, the multiple swimming pools, the gastronomy and the comfort of the rooms all contributed to making our stay exceptional. We also took advantage of the opportunity to hire a Tesla free of charge to explore the surrounding area and visit the pretty villages, such as Porto Cristo, home to Rafael Nadal. It’s a haven of peace between sea and nature that I highly recommend for a rejuvenating holiday!
We wish you wonderful holidays with Little Guest!
